Before You Head Out

Plan your route. Before you set out on your Gigwalking day, use the map feature to plan your route. Shrink and expand your map to look for clusters of gigs you can hit in one shot. Try to plan your route so you don’t have to backtrack often or travel unproductively.

Make sure your equipment is in tip top shape before you head out. Is your battery full? Did you bring a soft cloth to wipe the lens of smudges? Did you bring your portable charger to refresh your battery during pit stops?

Dress appropriately for the type of gigs you are doing. Showing up at your local 5 star French restaurant in funky torn up jeans, the old sneakers you wore when you painted the garage and your “I hear Voices….and they don’t like you” t-shirt is unlikely to help you blend in and get the job done.
